πΉ 1. Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet or saucepan, place chicken breasts, broth, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the skillet and mix with the remaining sauce until juicy and well coated. Simmer uncovered for another 5 minutes.

Lightly butter and toast the buns on a skillet or grill pan until golden.

Place a slice of cheddar on the bun base (optional), pile on a generous amount of pulled BBQ chicken, add crunchy coleslaw, pickles or jalapeΓ±os if desired, and drizzle with extra BBQ sauce. Crown with the top bun.
