  • Pinch of black pepper 🧂

  • Optional: 1 tsp Dijon mustard or a few fresh basil leaves 🌿

📋 Instructions

1. Prep the Bread or Buns
Spread butter 🧈 on the outer sides of the bread or bun halves. If using mustard, spread it on the inner side of the bottom half.

2. Assemble the Burger-Style Toasties
On the unbuttered side, layer cheese 🧀, tomato slices 🍅, and cooked chicken 🍗. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Add basil if using. Top with more cheese 🧀 and close the sandwich.

3. Cook the Burgers
Heat a skillet or sandwich press over medium heat. Cook the assembled burgers for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and melty inside.
