Jerk Chicken Burger

🛒 Ingredients

For the Patties:

  • Nonstick cooking spray 🥄

  • 1 lb ground chicken 🍗

  • 2 tbsp jerk seasoning (store-bought or homemade) 🌶️

  • 1 tsp grated garlic 🧄

  • 1 tsp grated ginger 🌿

  • 2 green onions, finely chopped 🧅

  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs 🍞

  • 1 tbsp lime juice 🍋

For the Sauce:

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise 🥄

  • 1 tbsp lime juice 🍋

  • 1 tsp honey 🍯

  • 1 tsp jerk seasoning 🌶️

Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce 🥬

  • 4 slices ripe mango or pineapple 🍍

  • ¼ cup sliced red onion 🧅

  • 4 burger buns 🍔


📋 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare Patties

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet. In a bowl, mix ground chicken 🍗, jerk seasoning 🌶️, garlic 🧄, ginger 🌿, green onions 🧅, panko 🍞, and lime juice 🍋. Form into 4 patties 🍔.

2️⃣ Bake Patties

Place patties on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until cooked through (165°F internal temp).

3️⃣ Make Jerk Mayo

In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lime juice, honey, and jerk seasoning until smooth.

4️⃣ Warm Buns

During the last 2–3 minutes of baking, warm the burger buns in the oven.

5️⃣ Assemble Burgers

Spread jerk mayo on buns, add patties, then top with shredded lettuce, mango or pineapple slices, and red onion.

  • Add Heat: Add extra jerk seasoning or a splash of hot sauce if you like it spicy 🌶️
